Wider Sounds is a boutique recording studio and sonic retreat immersed in the heart of Ibiza’s countryside, created for electronic music artists, film composers, and visual-media professionals.

The studio offers in-house music production, recording, mixing, film scoring, editing, sync & licensing for visual media, and it’s equipped with a carefully selected collection of analog gear, vintage and modular synthesizers, alongside a fully integrated and flexible digital workflow.

Located between Santa Gertrudis and the sunset beach of Benirràs, Wider Sounds was founded by composer and sound engineer Coco Francavilla as a focused space for collaboration, experimentation, and creative dialogue.

Surrounded by 90,000 m² of Mediterranean landscape and filled with warm Balearic light, Wider Sounds offers an intimate and inspiring setting, in close connection with nature, suited for recording sessions, masterclasses, artist residencies, and immersive sound projects.

Prominent electronic artists such as Grand River, Sofie Birch, Patricia Wolf, and Rafael Anton Irisarri participate in the "artist residency" program, fostering a culture of creativity and raising awareness of ecological issues.

SONIC ECOLOGY

Wider Sounds works in close relationship with its natural surroundings and the island’s fragile ecosystem. Ideas of re-wilding and re-oceaning shape the way sound is approached here, encouraging careful listening and an awareness of sonic ecology within everyday music and sound practice.

Alongside its studio work, Wider Sounds is connected to Music For The Sea, a non-profit organization bridging sound, music, and ocean conservation through research, artistic projects, and education.

This ongoing exchange helps inform the studio’s approach to sustainability and listening practices, while remaining rooted in a professional and practical creative environment.
