Coco Francavilla, is an Italian composer, music producer, sound engineer, and architect, based in Ibiza.

Her artistic journey, spanning over 25 years, is rooted in a DIY philosophy and a deep appreciation for the contemplative aspects of various art forms, particularly exploring the ethereal and evocative dimensions of electronic music.

Enchanted by sound synthesis, in her compositions Coco seamlessly blends synthesisers and sound manipulation techniques, merging electronic and classical elements with a cinematic approach.

Her sultry vocals and dreamlike electronic creations captured the attention of Tricky from Massive Attack, with whom she collaborated extensively, earning her the affectionate comparison of being 'the female version of me.'

Originally from Rome, Italy, Coco's musical odyssey took her through London, New York City, Los Angeles, and Berlin before finding her creative haven in Ibiza in 2016.

Grounded in her classical guitar education at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory of Rome, she furthered her academic pursuits, earning a bachelor's degree in architecture from Westminster University of London and University La Sapienza of Rome.

Her architectural thesis delved into Acoustic Physics, exploring the symbiotic relationship between electrified music and architectural spaces.

Coco's performance highlights include renowned festivals and venues worldwide, including Royal Festival Hall, Glastonbury, Mutek, Sonar, and the Montreux Jazz Festival among others.

Her relocation to Brooklyn in the mid-2000s led to the founding of ZK MUSIC, a composers' collective specialising in a genre-bending endeavour of electronic, contemporary-classical, and experimental music tailored for film and visual media.

Expanding into music production and composition for movie trailers, Coco proudly boasts credits in prominent productions like Blade Runner 2049 (starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford), Counterpart (Starz TV show with Oscar winner J.K. Simmons), The Hunger Games, and The Beguiled (by Sofia Coppola), among others.

Her repertoire in film composition includes significant works like Friedkin Uncut, an official selection at the Venice Film Festival 2018.
This documentary delves into the world of cult Hollywood director William Friedkin, featuring interviews with luminaries like Quentin Tarantino, Francis Ford Coppola, Damien Chazelle, and more.

Coco's versatility as a music producer, arranger, and sound engineer has led her to collaborate across diverse genres with international acts, from Swedish techno artist Adam Beyer to pop-singer James Blunt to esteemed members of the Brooklyn Afro-punk scene.

She's been collaborating with AFTERLIFE , the influential techno and festival imprint, working as a sound engineer and musical director for Tale of Us's MRAK project, contributing to its evolution through studio work and global tours.

In Ibiza, Coco ventured into vibroacoustic and sound-wave therapies, incorporating meditation instruments like Tibetan bowls, crystals, and hand pans into her performances. Çç

Her live ambient sets intertwine these instruments with modular synthesizers, creating immersive experiences through binaural beat stimulation in theta waves—brain-wave frequencies associated with deep relaxation, meditation, and heightened creativity.

A passionate advocate for environmental and social causes, Coco founded WIDER SOUNDS, a platform dedicated to supporting such endeavors.
